Mission Statement:
Congregation Beth El (CBE) Preschool offers a nurturing and creative environment that promotes the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of each child in a Jewish atmosphere. CBE Preschool is committed to the principles of community, integrity, respect for diversity, and valuing the uniqueness of each and every child.
About our school:
CBE is centrally located in the heart of Fort Bend County, serving the communities of Sugar Land and Missouri City, as well as surrounding areas, such as Pearland, Alvin, Richmond, Rosharon, and Katy.
CBE offers a warm, creative environment for children 18 months through 5 years of age in a Jewish atmosphere where each child's own unique style of learning is valued and nurtured. CBE Preschool is a state licensed program and follows NAEYC guidelines.
Our school provides the experiences needed to cultivate the foundations of personality, self-image, and the motivation to learn, which are all firmly established in the first five years of a child's life. This is attained with our small classes and low student-teacher ratios. Learning is self-rewarding, joyous, and non-competitive. Our loving staff helps each child along every step of their journey.
CBE Preschool Staff:
CBE Preschool has a full-time director, office assistant, and an excellent, well-trained staff of teachers who understand that each child has a distinct personality and learning style. Most of the staff members have been loyal employees for over eight years. Several of our staff's children are even CBE Preschool graduates! Congregation Beth El's Rabbi Stander is also a prominent figure in the school, visiting the classrooms monthly and celebrating major holidays with our young learners.
Judaic Awareness:
Jewish education is integrated throughout daily routines, weekly Shabbat, and holiday celebrations. With stories, songs, cooking, and games of Jewish content, children develop their own unique Jewish identity. Parents are encouraged to participate in monthly, whole-school Shabbat services and in holiday celebrations.
Parent/Teacher Communication:
Parent/Teacher communication is always encouraged and welcomed. Parents are kept well-informed of their child’s progress through phone conversations, emails, and through the child’s classwork. Twice a year, parents receive a formal progress report at a parent/teacher conference that tracks their child’s development. This progress report is age-appropriate and comprehensive and was developed with input from the teachers, director and national guidelines.
